Adventure Bay - 12 Acres of fun for all ages. The Houston areas only Master Blaster, the uphill water roller coaster. There is a children's area called Pirate's Cove with it's interactive shipwreck. Float in the lazy Rio Lento River or brave the Lost Falls speed slides or the Sidewinder tube rides.
Art Car Museum - The Museum features the most imaginative, elaborate, and artfully constructed art cars, low riders, and mobile contraptions, as well as displaying exhibitions of art by local, national, and international artists of all media.
Space Center Houston - Space Center Houston's unparalleled exhibits, attractions, special presentations and hands-on activities tell the story of NASA's manned space flight program. The Houston Zoo - A large facility in Hermann Park features big cats, hippos, a primate and reptile center and a tropical bird aviary.
Children's Museum of Houston - The Children's Museum of Houston is the highest-attended youth museum in the country for its size and is dedicated to transforming communities through innovative, child-centered learning by providing hands-on exhibitions in the areas of science and technology, history and culture, health and human development, and the arts.
Cockrell Butterfly Tower - at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, featuring a continually changing collection of live butterflies in a walk-through tropical garden.
Cullen Hall of Gems and Minerals - The spectacular Cullen Hall houses the world’s finest display-quality collection of gems and minerals. Hermann Park, Japanese Garden - This garden, next to the Reflection Pool, represents serenity and harmony, and is an escape from everyday metropolitan life. Stroll through the shaded paths and take in the beauty and simplicity of Japan.
Houston Arboretum & Nature Center - The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is a 155 acre nature sanctuary with 5 miles of nature trail winding through woodland and by ponds. The center is located only 4 miles west of downtown Houston.
IMAX Theater - Ranked as one of the world's premier IMAX theaters, this 394 seat theater features the finest motion picture system in existence. Images of unsurpassed size, clarity and impact enhanced by a superb six-track sound system are projected onto a giant 60-by-80-foot screen.
Planetarium - The planetarium offers the world’s most technologically advanced and realistic views of space and the universe. Giving visitors the feeling that they are traveling in space, high-resolution video technology projects images of planets, stars, meteors, solar systems and entire galaxies on the domed surface. The planetarium is also used to train Space Shuttle astronauts in star field identification.

The Reef - A water based family park. The Reef is a spring fed 40 foot deep 20 acre lake with two volleyball court, grass and trees. Scuba diving, canoeing, kayaking and fishing are all allowed at the lake.
San Jacinto Battleground SHP (Battleship Texas) - The primary purpose of the 1,200-acre site is to commemorate the Battle and to preserve the Battleground on which Texan troops under General Sam Houston achieved the independence of Texas by defeating a Mexican Army led by General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna on April 21, 1836. Self-guided tour of this mighty naval vessel will allow you a glimpse into the life of the men onboard the Battleship TEXAS during World War II and I. Climb 60' above the water to the flying bridge or down 20' below the water into the engine room.
Sea Center Texas (Lake Jackson) - The Center's facilities include an exceptional free aquarium, the largest red drum hatchery in the world and a wetland walkway and exhibit.
Galveston Island
Sheldon Lake State Park - Sheldon Lake is now a 2,800 acre green and blue “oasis” for wildlife and people on the edge of Texas’ largest city. The park is divided up into a Lake Unit and an Environment Learning Center. Primary activities at the Lake Unit are fishing, canoeing, and wildlife observation. Activities at the Environmental Learning Center include group programming, birding, wildlife/nature study and fishing for children.
Texas Renaissance Festival - The Texas Renaissance Festival is one of the nation's largest, most acclaimed renaissance theme parks where the sights, sounds, tastes and beauty of the 16th Century come alive every Saturday and Sunday for 7 weekends October 2nd through November 14th, from 9 AM to dusk.
